About the team:
Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. The Trust & Safety Policy team develops and reviews our community policies to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our users and content creators to enjoy and express themselves.
The Regional Policy team sits within Trust & Safety Policy and acts as the policy ambassador for our markets, representing global Community Guidelines to regional stakeholders and regulators, and bringing market realities back into global policy development. We ensure our approach to content safety reflects how harm actually manifests locally, combining regional expertise - regulatory, cultural, and linguistic - with global policy standards, and partner closely with Product, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, and Public Relations to keep our community safe.
About the role:
We're looking for a Policy Manager to lead regional policy for the UK and Ireland. In this role, you'll own the development and evolution of policy guidance tailored to the UK/IE markets, working across all policy areas, while fronting escalations and acting as the region's primary point of contact for policy decision-making across the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and continuously update policy documentation tailored to the UK/IE markets, leveraging local insights while aligning with TikTok’s global Trust and Safety standards.
- Design and implement enforcement strategies addressing all content areas, including Hateful Behavior, Violent Behavior and Dangerous Actors, Mental Health, Integrity & Authenticity, and Human Exploitation.
- Serve as the primary Policy contact for the UK/IE region, leading the response to content safety issues and escalations.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with senior regional stakeholders and teams across Product, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, and Public Relations to drive consensus and evolve content policies.
- Monitor emerging social media trends, user behaviors, and regulatory developments in the UK/IE markets to proactively inform policy design and ensure alignment with TikTok’s Community Guidelines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
