Pricing Manager - Air & Ocean Freight (UK & Ireland Cluster)

📍 United Kingdom / Hybrid Working Available

About the Company

Our client is a leading international freight forwarding and logistics provider with a strong global network across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, and Supply Chain Solutions. As part of their continued investment in the UK & Ireland region, they are seeking a Pricing Manager to lead pricing activities across the cluster. This is a highly visible role working closely with commercial, procurement, product, and operational teams to develop competitive pricing strategies, support customer growth, and drive profitability across the business.

The Role

As Pricing Manager, you will take ownership of all Air and Ocean Freight pricing activities across the UK & Ireland cluster. You will be responsible for managing RFQs, tender responses, carrier relationships, pricing strategy, and commercial support for key customer opportunities. The successful candidate will act as a key link between procurement, operations, and sales teams, ensuring accurate and competitive solutions are delivered to customers while maintaining strong margin performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Air Freight and Ocean Freight pricing activities across the UK & Ireland region
  • Manage customer tenders, RFQs, and large-scale pricing opportunities
  • Develop competitive and profitable pricing solutions for new and existing customers
  • Work closely with Sales teams to support business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to secure competitive carrier and supplier rates
  • Analyse market trends, carrier pricing, capacity, and trade lane developments
  • Support strategic customer presentations and commercial negotiations
  • Maintain pricing databases, tools, and reporting processes
  • Drive pricing governance, consistency, and best practices across the cluster
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience within Air Freight and Ocean Freight pricing in a freight forwarding environment
  • Strong understanding of international transport, carrier networks, and trade lanes
  • Experience managing RFQs, tenders, and complex pricing exercises
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and procurement teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and pricing analysis capabilities
  • Experience within an international freight forwarding organisation
