Regional Projects Customer and Communications Liaison Officer

We're looking for a Regional Projects Customer and Communications Liaison Officer to join our team in Brixworth, playing a key role in the delivery of major highways and infrastructure projects across the Midlands. Working as part of our regional delivery team, you'll help build and maintain positive relationships with customers, local communities, stakeholders, and key partners, ensuring they remain informed, engaged, and supported throughout the project lifecycle.

Hours

Permanent Fulltime 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary

£36,000 - £40,000 per year + excellent benefits

Role Description

As a Regional Projects Customer and Communications Liaison Officer, you'll be a vital link between our projects and the people they impact, you'll lead stakeholder engagement activities, coordinate customer communications, and support public consultation events, helping to enhance community relations and contribute to the successful delivery of our schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications or stakeholder engagement professional who enjoys working with people, making a positive impact, and being at the heart of major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

As a Regional Projects Customer and Communications Liaison Officer, you'll act as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, managing enquiries, coordinating responses, and ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Developing and delivering stakeholder engagement and communication strategies for regional highways infrastructure projects
  • Planning, organising and facilitating public consultations, stakeholder meetings, community engagement events, and project presentations
  • Preparing and distributing clear communications through newsletters, letters, emails, websites, social media, and project updates
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for residents, businesses, community groups, and elected members, managing enquiries professionally
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

This role of Regional Projects Customer and Communications Liaison Officer is ideal if you have:

  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, customer communications, public consultation, or community engagement on major infrastructure, highways, utilities, or construction projects
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience developing and delivering communication plans, engagement strategies, and public information campaigns across multiple channels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to create professional reports, presentations, newsletters, and customer communications
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel across the region, building strong relationships with communities, customers, and project stakeholders through a visible site presence
