£40,000 + £6,000 bonus + car allowance + travel expenses
We are working with a leading leisure and fitness operator to find a Regional Retail Manager to provide strategic, commercial, and operational support to the retail and front of house departments across 80 leisure centres in the East of England. An ideal base location will be around Derby/The East Midlands. You will be working with a dedicated retail space within each large leisure centre with multiple sports and fitness activities taking place.
The role is typically Monday-Friday with just 1 weekend working in 4, 1-2 days/week working from home with 3-4 days week visiting sites and concentrating on the highest turnover operations, mobilising new contracts, and those centres that are missing targets, as well as attending regional meetings and meeting suppliers. It is likely you will spend 4-5 days per month staying overnight in a Premier Inn or similar accommodation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
