About the Role

This is a regional role that will require regular travel across Ireland & Scotland. The successful candidate is required to be based within the region.

Nando’s is on a journey to Create Lasting Happiness, making a difference to the lives of our People, our customers, and the communities we work in. Originally started in Johannesburg, South Africa, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for everyone involved in Nando’s: from our employees, communities, founders, and suppliers, but most importantly, our customers.

The Regional Safety Manager is a specialised role that is expert in safety and compliance and has a firm hand in identifying and notifying the restaurant of business critical risks in their region. All of the support that is given must actively demonstrate and encourage behaviours that foster the Nando’s values and from time to time there may be occasions where the role is required to deputise for the Head of Restaurant Compliance.

A Day in the Life...

  • Partner with Managing Directors and restaurant teams to maintain high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and legal compliance across the region.
  • Identify risks, non-compliance and opportunities for improvement, driving best practice and continuous improvement across the business.
  • Provide expert advice, coaching and support to restaurant managers, particularly following audits, inspections or compliance issues.
  • Monitor and follow up on Health & Safety, fire safety, food hygiene, licensing, pest control and waste management requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance actions, contracts and service standards are effectively managed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting on incidents, inspections, licensing, EHO matters and compliance performance.
  • Support investigations into significant incidents, including accidents, security incidents, hygiene complaints and alleged food poisoning, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
  • Ensure legal contraventions and actions arising from inspections, risk assessments and audits are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Support new restaurant openings by ensuring appropriate safety processes, contracts and resources are in place.
  • Identify matters requiring insurance or reputational risk escalation, working with relevant teams, including the Press Office, where appropriate.
  • Contribute a strong Safety and Quality perspective to regional business decisions, promoting a positive and sustainable safety culture.
  • Deputise for other members of the Safety team and share specialist knowledge to help protect people, restaurants and the Nando’s brand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
