The Regional Sales Analyst
The Regional Sales Analyst provides reporting, analysis, and business insights that help regional Sales leaders understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
Reporting to the Manager of Sales Analytics and Reporting
This role develops dashboards, scorecards, and recurring performance reporting; analyzes regional, market, and dealer trends; and translates data into actionable insights that improve Sales execution, productivity, and profitability.
Outcomes and Activities
- This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to our Southfield, Michigan office may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at our Southfield, Michigan office if requested by the team member.
- This position is available in three regional assignments: Northeast, Southwest, and West. Each hire will serve as a dedicated partner to the sales teams within their assigned region. To ensure alignment with business needs, employees must work core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the local time zone of the region they support, regardless of where they reside.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Sales Analytics
- Analyze regional, market, territory, district, and dealer performance to identify trends, risks, gaps, and growth opportunities.
- Translate Sales, field leadership, and executive questions into clear analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate performance across contract production, dealer activity, market opportunity, productivity, and profitability.
- Conduct recurring and ad hoc analyses to support regional priorities, sales plays, and performance improvement efforts.

Reporting and KPI Management
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, recurring Sales performance reports, and executive-ready views of regional, market, territory, and dealer performance.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regional leaders with timely, accurate, and actionable insights.
- Support business reviews, performance discussions, forecasting, and planning activities.
- Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, improve usability, and increase adoption.
- Support dashboard validation by reconciling report outputs to source data, existing reporting, and agreed-upon KPI definitions.
Data Quality and Process Improvement
- Validate reporting outputs and help maintain consistent KPI definitions and data standards.
- Identify data, reporting, and process issues and partner with the appropriate teams to resolve them.
- Document business logic, calculations, assumptions, data sources, and reporting requirements to support consistent KPI usage across Sales reporting.
- Support improvements to reporting tools and recurring analytical processes.
Business Partnership
- Serve as an analytics partner to regional Sales leaders and other business stakeholders.
- Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Sales Enablement, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Product, GTM, and other teams to support reporting and analysis needs.
- Provide proactive insights and recommendations that support Sales performance and decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, etc. - preferred)
- 2 years of experience in Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Sales Operations, or a related analytical field.
- 2 years of experience in an academic or professional setting using one or more of the following analytical tools: SAS, SQL, R, or Python
- Experience developing or supporting dashboards, KPI reporting, scorecards, or recurring business performance reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and data-storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence, reporting, CRM, SQL, or analytical tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a regional, distributed, or field-based Sales organization.
- Experience with profitability, market, territory, dealer, productivity, or Sales performance analysis.
- Familiarity with automotive finance, dealer services, indirect lending, or financial services.
- Experience with Power BI data modeling, DAX, Power Query, data visualization, or business intelligence platforms.

Targeted Compensation
$81,309 - $94,861 + Annual Bonus

Required degrees
