Visum Recruitment are proud to be representing our client, a global leader in factory automation and fluid control solutions, who are seeking an ambitious Regional Sales Consultant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships across the territory. You will work closely with end users, OEMs and distribution partners, delivering technical automation solutions and driving continued revenue growth through consultative sales.

Regional Sales Consultant Job Overview

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within machine and device manufacturers
  • Manage and develop existing customer accounts, identifying opportunities for further growth
  • Build strong relationships with engineers, procurement teams, senior management and key decision-makers
  • Promote automation and fluid control solutions, providing technical advice and tailored product recommendations
  • Maintain strong working relationships with distribution partners across the territory
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to order completion
  • Deliver excellent customer service and technical support throughout the sales process
  • Accurately maintain customer records, opportunities and sales activity using the CRM system
  • Represent the business professionally while promoting company values and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction

Regional Sales Consultant Job Requirements

  • Previous technical sales experience within industrial automation, pneumatics, fluid power or a related engineering sector is highly desirable
  • Engineering qualification or strong technical understanding of automation products would be advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop new business and manage existing accounts
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, competitive and driven with a proactive approach to sales
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and provide commercially viable technical solutions
  • Experience working with distributors or channel partners would be beneficial
  • Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
