Position Summary

The Regional Sales Director – New Logo Sales will be responsible for originating, developing, and closing new-logo opportunities across the UK financial services and alternative investment market. This is a hunter role for a self-starting, commercially disciplined sales professional who can independently build territory plans, create senior-level demand, qualify complex opportunities, and close profitable managed technology and managed security services engagements.

The successful candidate will own the full sales lifecycle from target-account research and outbound prospecting through discovery, solution positioning, proposal, negotiation, and handover. They will work closely with SDRs, Marketing, Solutions, Service Delivery, and Customer Success to create sufficient pipeline coverage, forecast accurately, and deliver against annual new business targets.

Role Objectives

  • Deliver annual new-logo revenue and gross margin targets within the assigned UK territory.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality, data-led pipeline with appropriate coverage against quota.
  • Win new clients in ECI’s core markets, including hedge funds, private equity, asset management, investment management, family offices, and related financial institutions.
  • Represent ECI credibly with C-suite, technology, operations, compliance, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Create a repeatable territory motion using account-based planning, proactive outreach, partner referrals, events, and targeted campaigns.

Position Responsibilities

  • Own new customer acquisition, with a clear focus on creating and closing net-new logos rather than relying solely on inbound demand.
  • Build a prioritized target-account plan across the assigned territory, using sector knowledge, intent signals, referrals, events, LinkedIn, Salesforce, and market research to identify high-fit prospects.
  • Generate qualified pipeline through disciplined outbound prospecting, executive networking, partner/channel engagement, industry events, and coordinated SDR/Marketing campaigns.
  • Run full-cycle sales opportunities from initial outreach and discovery through commercial proposal, stakeholder mapping, negotiation, contracting, and implementation hand-off.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with decision makers and influencers across technology, operations, compliance, finance, and executive leadership teams.
  • Position ECI’s managed technology, cloud, cybersecurity, advisory, and operational resilience capabilities in a consultative, outcome-led manner.
  • Qualify opportunities rigorously using BANT/MEDDICC-style criteria, ensuring a strong understanding of pain, decision process, compelling event, budget, authority, and commercial fit.
  • Lead compelling presentations, workshops, and proposal meetings tailored to prospect requirements, competitive context, and buying-stage maturity.
  • Partner with Solutions, Service Delivery, and Customer Success teams to shape achievable solutions, manage implementation expectations, and ensure a smooth handover after close.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and SDR colleagues to build account-based campaigns, drive event follow-up, and convert target-account engagement into qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records, including account plans, next steps, opportunity stage, close dates, forecast category, probability, and key stakeholder information.
  • Provide reliable weekly forecasting and pipeline insight, highlighting risks, blockers, competitive threats, and support required to progress deals.
  • Stay current on market trends affecting alternative investment firms, including cybersecurity expectations, cloud adoption, outsourced IT operations, regulatory pressure, and operational resilience.
  • Act as an ambassador for ECI in the market, attending relevant industry events, building referral networks, and strengthening ECI’s profile with target buyers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
