Regional Sales Director

We are partnering with a leading asset management firm to appoint a Regional Sales Director focused on developing relationships across key intermediary and wealth management partners in Northern England and Scotland. This is a high-profile role within a growing distribution team, offering significant exposure to some of the firm's most important strategic clients.

The role is centred on driving asset growth, strengthening long-term partnerships and identifying new commercial opportunities across a sophisticated wholesale market. Working closely with investment, marketing and sales support teams, you will play a key role in expanding the firm's presence and enhancing client engagement across the region.

This opportunity would suit an experienced sales professional with a strong understanding of the intermediary market and a proven track record of building strategic client relationships within asset or wealth management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing relationships with key intermediary, discretionary and wealth management firms across the region
  • Delivering asset growth through effective distribution of investment solutions and identification of new business opportunities
  • Building strategic account plans tailored to client objectives, growth opportunities and engagement priorities
  • Leading commercial discussions and negotiating mutually beneficial partnership arrangements
  • Acting as a trusted partner to clients, providing insight into investment capabilities and market developments
  • Collaborating with investment specialists and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored client solutions
  • Driving greater penetration across existing accounts through cross-selling and relationship expansion initiatives
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and client feedback to identify opportunities for growth
  • Supporting client events, presentations and industry conferences to strengthen relationships and increase brand visibility
  • Coordinating regional engagement plans and ensuring consistent client contact across key accounts
  • Contributing to RFP activity and broader business development initiatives where required
  • Maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and client service across all activities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
