Hours:
35 hours, Monday - Friday. Remote based role with frequent travel. You will ideally be based in, or willing to travel to, the Glasgow region.

Skipton Business Finance is excited to be recruiting for a Regional Sales Director to drive the growth of our Invoice Finance and Asset-Based Lending (ABL) portfolio across Scotland. This is a high-impact role, responsible for originating high-quality new business, developing strong introducer relationships, and championing SBF’s presence in the market.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a senior member of our commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in positioning SBF as a trusted specialist lender to UK SMEs, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding client experiences and commercially strong deal structures.

- Driving New Business Acquisition: Sourcing and writing new business opportunities within credit policy and risk appetite.
- Key Business Introducer Management: Building and nurturing relationships with key business introducers (KBI’s)
- Representing SBF Externally: Attending industry events, networking forums, and SBF-sponsored activities to elevate our regional market presence.
- Supporting Portfolio & Operations: Working collaboratively with Portfolio Directors, Relationship Managers and Operations colleagues to ensure seamless transitions from prospect to client.
- Ensuring Strong Credit Behaviours: Acting as a First Line of Defence, completing robust financial analysis, risk assessments and supporting the structuring of high-quality deals.
- Driving Regional Campaigns: Partnering with Marketing to deliver targeted regional activity and PR to enhance visibility and lead-generation.
What Do We Need From You?
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A proven track record in corporate or commercial finance sales, ideally within Invoice Finance and/or ABL.
- Strong financial analysis capability, with the ability to interpret management accounts, forecasts and cash flow requirements.
- An established network of introducers within the commercial finance ecosystem.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills with senior decision-makers.
- Experience structuring Invoice Finance or ABL solutions, understanding risk, collateral and compliance considerations.
- The ability to work independently in a field-based role, meeting deadlines, managing priorities and maintaining high levels of activity.
- Experience working within a regulated or risk-conscious financial services environment.
