About the Role
The Regional Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth and market share across an assigned territory by developing strong relationships with installers, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders within the heating and renewable energy sector. The role focuses on promoting heat pump solutions and associated products while delivering technical sales support and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a regional sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Generate new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer accounts.
- Build long-term relationships with installers, heating contractors, developers, and consultants.
- Promote the company's heat pump solutions through customer visits, presentations and technical demonstrations.
- Provide customers with technical guidance on heat pump applications and HVAC systems.
- Identify and convert project opportunities from specification through to installation.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and legislative changes affecting the heating and renewable energy market.
- Work closely with internal technical, specification and customer service teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts and customer activity using the company's CRM system.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.

Essential Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years' successful external (field-based) B2B sales experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business within a technical sales environment.
- Direct experience selling heat pumps or closely related renewable heating technologies.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, heating systems and heat pump applications.
- Existing relationships with heating installers, contractors, and other key decision-makers within the sector.
- Experience managing a geographical sales territory.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, renewable energy legislation and available funding or incentive schemes relevant to heat pumps.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the domestic or commercial heat pump market.
- Knowledge of low-carbon heating technologies including underfloor heating, cylinders, controls or renewable energy systems.
- Experience working with specification consultants or M&E contractors.
- Technical qualification in engineering, HVAC or building services.

This position has responsibility across the East Anglia region and will require travel to sites throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and other locations within the area.
