We are looking for an ambitious, technically minded Regional Sales Engineer to grow our Industrial Technologies business across North England and Scotland. This is an opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, solving technical challenges and developing new business in manufacturing and OEM environments.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of an established territory, managing and developing a portfolio of OEM customers and distribution partners while identifying new markets, applications and accounts. You will represent clients fastening and assembly solutions, including threaded inserts, rivet nuts, studs and associated installation technologies.

Working with design engineers, production teams, procurement functions and senior decision-makers, you will provide practical, value-adding solutions that help customers improve their products and processes.

What You Will Do

  • Grow profitable sales across North England and Scotland within the Industrial Technologies sector.
  • Manage, retain and develop existing OEM and distributor relationships.
  • Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across manufacturing industries.
  • Engage customers across engineering, design, quality, production, procurement and senior leadership.
  • Understand customer application challenges and recommend appropriate clients fastening and assembly solutions.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, customer training and Tech Days.
  • Work closely with distributors through joint visits, technical support and account-development activity.
  • Proactively manage quotations, RFQs, samples, trials and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and accurate CRM records.
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasts, order intake and margin in support of agreed territory objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with internal sales, customer service, marketing, technical and operations teams.
  • Represent client professionally at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

What We Are Looking For

You will be a proactive, customer-focused sales professional with a strong technical mindset and the ability to develop trusted relationships in an industrial environment.

Essential experience and skills

  • Proven experience in field-based B2B sales, account management or business development.
  • Experience selling technical products, components or engineered solutions into OEM, manufacturing or industrial customers.
  • A strong record of developing new business while managing and growing existing accounts.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing sales pipelines, quotations, forecasting and margins.
  • Ability to understand technical applications and communicate confidently with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building, presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
  • A disciplined, self-motivated approach to territory management and CRM activity.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout North England and Scotland.
  • The role may require occasional international travel.

Desirable experience

  • An engineering qualification, apprenticeship or relevant technical background.
  • Experience in fasteners, assembly technology or related industrial components, such as bearings, seals, hardware, moulded components, nuts, bolts or washers.
  • Experience working with industrial distributors and channel partners.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM-based lead generation and digital prospecting.
  • Experience delivering technical training, product demonstrations or customer events.
