Regional Sales Leader (Commercial Insurance)
Location: Yorkshire
Working Pattern: Hybrid – a combination of client visits/on the road, office-based working and working from home

About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Regional Sales Leader to drive growth across the Yorkshire region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who understands the general insurance market, has strong market exposure and is motivated by winning new business and developing relationships.
- You will take a leading role in developing new business opportunities.
- Lead and motivate a team of Account Executives and Account Handlers to deliver an excellent client experience.
- Collaborate with the National Sales Director to implement and drive the sales strategy through the region and relative teams.
We are looking for a genuine go-getter – someone who is proactive, commercially focused and capable of identifying opportunities, building relationships and turning prospects into long-term clients.
Key Responsibilities
New Business & Sales
- Develop and deliver a regional strategy for generating new business.
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities across the Yorkshire/UK market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients and key market contacts.
- Lead new business activity from initial prospecting through to handover to the service team.
- Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities and consistently drive activity towards agreed targets.
- Represent the business professionally at client meetings, networking events and industry functions.

Leadership & Team Direction
- Direct and support a team of Account Executives and Account Handlers.
- Provide clear direction, priorities and objectives to support high-quality client delivery.
- Coach, motivate and develop team members to maximise performance.
- Manage workloads and ensure appropriate resources are available to support new and existing business.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable and commercially focused team culture.
- Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
- Lead by example, demonstrating strong client service, commercial awareness and professional standards.
About You
We are looking for someone with demonstrated insurance experience and good exposure to the general insurance market. The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced insurance professional with a strong understanding of general insurance.
- Commercially minded, confident and motivated by winning new business.
- A natural relationship builder with the ability to develop relationships at all levels.
- Proactive, energetic and willing to take ownership – a genuine go-getter.
Qualifications & Experience
- Insurance experience is essential. Relevant professional qualifications are desirable but not essential for this role.
- We value experience, market knowledge, commercial ability and attitude alongside formal qualifications.
