Regional Sales Manager – Capital Equipment | Field Based, UK (Midlands Ideal)

Our client is a global leader in in-line measurement and control technology, with nearly 400 people across Europe, the US and Asia. Founded by scientists over 30 years ago, they design and manufacture high-tech scanning systems that measure the thickness and weight of materials in real time on production lines. Their customers work in battery and energy manufacturing, plastic film extrusion, converting and nonwovens. They already have a proven UK market, a strong order book and systems installed at some of the UK's leading battery research facilities. They also have a genuine people-first culture: in the CEO's words, "my employees are not a variable cost, the people make the company."

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Package

  • £55,000 – £75,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
  • Estimated £20,000 commission on top
  • Car allowance
  • OTE potential of around £101,000 including car allowance
  • Expenses and mileage paid
  • 30 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension with company contribution
  • A full handover and shadowing period with the current post holder

The Role & Requirements

This is a rare succession opportunity. The current Regional Sales Manager is retiring and will hand over all of his accounts and relationships to you. You'll shadow him, so you get up to speed in a controlled way rather than being thrown in at the deep end. After that, it's your show. You'll run the UK business as a field-based self-starter, selling high-value capital equipment (systems up to £250,000, with a minimum order of £45,000) to end users and OEMs across the whole of the UK. An in-house project and engineering team will handle all of the technical side. To be considered, you'll need a proven track record of closing high-value capital equipment orders in B2B field sales. You'll also need a good understanding of industrial processes, the drive to work independently, and a willingness to travel nationally. A background in measurement, instrumentation, automation, extrusion, plastics, coatings or the battery/energy sector would be a real advantage.
