Regional Sales Manager

6 months Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £32,000 per annum + 10% bonus opportunity + Company car
Working: Monday to Friday + 2 weekends per month, with days off in lieu
Territory: North East/Newcastle area

We’re looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join a growing field team supporting a well-established consumer electronics brand.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll work across a number of retail locations, partnering with store teams and in-store representatives to improve sales performance, strengthen execution and deliver an excellent customer experience.

You’ll combine sales leadership, coaching, training and commercial insight to make a measurable difference across your region.

What will you be doing?

  • Build strong relationships with store managers, retail teams and key stakeholders, becoming someone they trust and listen to
  • Deliver engaging product and sales training that translates into improved performance on the shop floor
  • Coach and support in-store representatives, helping them develop their skills and achieve their potential
  • Use sales data and commercial insight to identify opportunities and take action quickly
  • Improve merchandising, product visibility and execution across your territory
  • Plan and deliver events, demonstrations and training sessions that drive customer engagement and sales
  • Monitor stock, sales performance and competitor activity, turning insight into practical actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance across your region and implement effective solutions
  • Support recruitment and onboarding, helping to build a strong and capable field team
  • Work closely with internal and client stakeholders to ensure activity is aligned with commercial objectives

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who can combine commercial thinking with strong people development skills.

You might come from a background in:

  • Field sales
  • Regional or multi-site retail management
  • Account management
  • Retail training or coaching
  • Consumer electronics, FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment

What matters most is that you can:

  • Build strong relationships and influence others without relying on authority
  • Use data and insight to identify opportunities and drive action
  • Coach and develop people in a way that improves performance
  • Confidently deliver training and communicate with different audiences
  • Manage multiple locations and priorities effectively
  • Take ownership and work independently in a fast-moving field environment
  • Demonstrate a genuine commercial focus and desire to improve results

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Experience in a retail, field sales, regional management or training-focused role
  • Experience coaching, developing or managing people, with a focus on improving performance
  • Confidence delivering training and presentations
  • Ability to analyse sales and performance data and turn insight into action
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • A proactive, commercially focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
