Regional Sales Manager

The role carries full responsibility for the region’s commercial outcomes, combining operational sales execution with people leadership to ensure sustainable growth and strong market presence.

In their own territory, the Regional Sales Manager actively develops new business opportunities, manages key customer relationships, and executes the full sales cycle to deliver strong personal sales results. At the same time, they provide hands-on leadership to the regional sales team by coaching, supporting, and developing team members, setting clear performance expectations, and ensuring consistent execution of the company’s sales strategy. The Regional Sales Manager monitors regional performance, identifies growth opportunities, supports key account visits, removes obstacles for the team, and fosters a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies in alignment with the European Sales Director and plans to achieve company objectives in the region.
  • Analyze and report market trends and competitive information to identify and exploit market opportunities.
  • Consider and implement strategic actions with the team to improve market penetration.
  • Support the regional key accounts if required and attend meetings to foster customer relationships.

Team leadership and collaboration:

  • Work closely with the regional sales team to align sales goals, priorities, and execution plans across all territories.
  • Train, coach, and support sales employees in the implementation of sales strategies, sales processes, and customer engagement standards.
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated, and performance-driven team environment that encourages accountability, continuous improvement, and shared success.
  • Drive regional sales performance by setting clear expectations, monitoring KPIs, reviewing pipeline quality, and ensuring execution of sales activities across the team.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and field support to strengthen individual sales capabilities, remove obstacles, and ensure the team meets revenue and growth targets.

Customer Relationships:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct customer visits and presentations to promote company products and services.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Participate at key customers (Bettcher Built, 80s/80s) quarterly reviews.

Reporting and analysis:

  • Regular reporting of sales activities, results, and forecasts of the Region to the Sales Director.
  • Analyze sales performance and derive improvement actions.
  • Monitoring and managing the sales budget in the region.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Experience in business administration, marketing or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in sales, ideally in a managerial position.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Results-orientation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
