The Advocate Group are recruiting on behalf of a privately owned international manufacturing and solutions group for a full-time Regional Sales Manager based in the West Midlands of England.

The Role

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue and margin growth in the south of England by developing, managing, and expanding key customer accounts. You will be given a company electric car or an allowance for use of your own vehicle.

The Regional Sales Manager will manage a portfolio of existing customers and actively develop new business opportunities across the region. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, the role involves understanding customer needs, promoting appropriate products or services, and delivering tailored commercial solutions.

The position requires close collaboration with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, customer service, and finance to ensure effective account management, accurate forecasting, and smooth execution of sales plans. The role monitors market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and to inform regional sales strategies.

Success in the role is measured by achievement of sales targets, quality of customer relationships, account retention, margin performance, and contribution to overall regional and company objectives.

Key Performance Objectives

  • Delivery of internal budgeted sales, trade investments, and net margin targets for the sales territory
  • Manage independent territory to deliver the sales objectives and maximise profitability
  • Present and train independent retailers in the product portfolio as requested

About You

  • Proven sales performance in the field and are accustomed to managing your own patch
  • Have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region
  • Experience working in/selling into the KBB/appliances industry, ideally in kitchens
  • Experience selling to independent retailers/independent buying groups is a plus
  • Key Account Management - Strong capability to manage, retain, and grow key customer accounts through structured account planning.
  • Relationship Building & Stakeholder Management - Ability to build trusted relationships and influence decision‑makers at multiple levels.
  • Commercial & Negotiation Skills - Solid commercial acumen with experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and agreements.
  • Business Development - Track record of identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities within a region.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills - Clear, confident communicator with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Planning & Forecasting Discipline - Ability to manage pipelines, forecast accurately, and maintain high‑quality data.
  • Self‑Management & Resilience - Enthusiastic, highly organised, self‑motivated, and resilient, with the ability to work autonomously in a field‑based role.
