Regional Business Manager – Technical Sales / Electronic Components

Location: Midlands – Field Based

Package: £35,000 – £45,000 Basic | OTE Circa £55,000 | Company Car

Are you a technically minded salesperson with the ambition to develop your career with a leading international manufacturer?

I'm recruiting a Regional Business Manager for a well-established, globally recognised business operating within the electronic components sector. This position will suit someone who combines technical understanding with commercial awareness, enjoys developing customer relationships and has the drive to build a successful sales territory. Importantly, we're not necessarily looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager. You could currently be working in internal sales, technical sales or account management within an electronics or OEM business and be looking for your first opportunity to move into external sales. Alternatively, you may already have a couple of years' field sales experience and be looking for a bigger opportunity with an organisation that can offer excellent training, support and long-term development.

What Will You Be Doing?

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Taking responsibility for a defined Midlands territory, you'll work with an established customer base whilst identifying opportunities to grow the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing relationships with OEMs, engineering companies and manufacturing businesses.
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities across your territory.
  • Building strong relationships with technical engineers, buyers and commercial decision-makers.
  • Understanding customer applications and identifying suitable component solutions.
  • Managing existing accounts whilst proactively developing new customers.
  • Planning customer visits, managing your sales pipeline and delivering against commercial objectives.

Who Would Suit This Position?

We're looking for someone bright, enthusiastic and commercially switched on, with a genuine interest in technical products and how they're used. You'll ideally have:

  • A background in electronics, electronic components, OEM sales or a related technical environment.
  • Experience within internal sales, technical account management, business development or external sales.
  • The confidence and personality to engage with customers and develop lasting relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions and develop your technical knowledge.
  • A proactive approach and the ambition to build a successful sales career.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence – essential. You don't need to be an electronics expert, but you must have a genuine appetite to learn and the ability to understand technical information.
