Regional Sales Manager Yorks & North East

The Company

The range of innovative technologies from individual machines to complete lines solutions drive efficiency and quality allowing food processing businesses to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.

Committed to delivering growth through building deeper relationships with existing customers, unlocking new customer and market opportunities, and excelling at customer service at every stage of customer engagement.

We are now looking for a Regional Sales Manager to focus on Yorkshire and the North East with experience of selling B2B technology solutions into process industries ideally into the food industry, building on existing key account customer relationships and unlocking new customer opportunities.

The role, which reports to the Field Sales Manager, will build upon the company’s strong reputation and track record in the region to further extend its commercial footprint. You will have a knowledge of the food sector and ideally experience of packaging and/or processing machinery solutions and an appetite for developing relationships with both existing and new customers.

Responsibilities

  • Author and execute the territory (Yorkshire & NE) sales strategy aligned with the company’s ambitions and strategic objectives.
  • Actively lead customer dialogue and build relationships with decision makers and influencers within existing and target companies.
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships to convert enquiries, enhance retention and maximise long-term value.
  • Identify and build a pipeline to unlock new customer opportunities to drive company growth and build market share.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Champion the company’s commitment to excellence in customer service throughout the customer journey.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote the brand and build networks where appropriate.
  • Act as a company ambassador, internally and externally, consistently living and breathing the culture and values.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and success in B2B technology sales into process industries ideally into the food industry.
  • Strong credentials in successfully engaging customer stakeholders.
  • A strong and committed performer whether working independently or as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, clear communicator with a passion for building long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Excellent communications and negotiations skills with an aptitude and skill to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to meet with customers and attend industry events.
