Regional Sales Manager - BASED IN EUROPE

Composed of Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses, Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, creates electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, including industrial heaters and systems, heat tracing, and a range of component technologies.

The Role:

We welcome applications from candidates located across Europe. Home-based working within Europe will be considered, subject to right-to-work requirements and available employing entities.

Reporting to the Europe Sales Director – IPH, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving continuous sales and profit growth within a defined territory by managing a portfolio of value-added customers. The role focuses on building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders through a consultative selling approach.

This position combines home and office-based work within the sales region and requires a highly motivated, passionate individual to lead business development activities for our Industrial Process Heating portfolio across Southern Europe. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, and confidence in engaging with customers.

While the role does not require an engineering background, the candidate must be able to interpret technical proposals, provide reliable guidance during the quotation process, and collaborate effectively with engineering and proposal teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure competitive offers and seamless execution.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to business development while responding effectively to reactive opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for Industrial Electric Heaters in assigned regions.
  • Prospect and secure new customers and project opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts (EPCs, SYSINT, and end users).
  • Understand technical requirements, interpret specifications, and support proposal preparation.
  • Provide timely commercial and technical responses during bidding phases.
  • Align with Engineering, Proposals, and Operations teams for accurate offers and successful project execution.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor market outlook and trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, and regular reports.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, company policies and procedures.

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in technical sales or business development within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy sectors.
  • A Proven track record selling equipment or solutions to EPCs, OEMs, and large industrial clients.
  • Strong understanding of industrial process equipment (electrical heating/thermal solutions are preferred).
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and support the offer process.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to build trust at all organizational levels.
  • Passion for new business generation and market expansion.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of managing large territories with different working cultures.
  • Fluency in English; one or more additional European languages are preferred.
  • Strategic thinking with strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently across assigned regions.
