Regional Sales Manager EMEA (Precision Product Portfolio) (m/f/d)


 Place: United Kingdom Type: Remote, full-time Level: Mid

We are seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our market expansion for high-speed optical transceivers and related active/passive optical components. You will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across your assigned territory, by identifying new business opportunities through to close and by managing growth and upsell into existing accounts, within the data centre, telecom, and enterprise networking sectors. This is a "hunter" sales role requiring a blend of technical credibility and strategic relationship management both in direct and indirect customer engagement.  This role requires a high calibre of professional communication skills to affectively execute strategic account plans through regular communication with Telco, Enterprise and Datacentre customers and Strategic Partners, maintaining a deep understanding of current and future projects, effective forecasting, cold calling, driving awareness of new and current optical connectivity solutions through end users and channel partners and must be focused on hitting targets.  This role will be remote ideally within the United Kingdom with frequent UK/International travel to meet with customers and attend conferences and events.

You will be the owner of a defined set of sales targets aligned to the responsibilities of the role, taking accountability for meeting and exceeding these targets over a sustained period. Develop and execute a regional sales plan to meet and exceed annual profitability and revenue targets and increase market share as well as proactively identify and acquire new customers with a particular focus on Tier 1, 2 Telco and AltNets, AI/DC Cloud Providers, Systems Integrators, Strategic Tier 1 VAR Partners and Enterprise customers. Build and maintain long-term customer/prospect relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and sourcing teams.  Collaborate with internal R&D and technical teams to provide customized transceiver solutions that meet specific customer application challenges. Monitor industry trends (e.g., 400G/800G adoption), competitive activities, and price trends to inform regional strategy and maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and provide timely quarterly and annual sales forecasts to senior leadership. Represent the company at major industry trade shows and technical seminars.

What you will bring: 

Vertical Market Expertise: Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of the optical connectivity market and the selected target customers.  Maintain awareness of the key players, technology and market trends and competitor activity. A Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field (Master’s or PhD preferred) or solid knowledge of the optical connectivity and networking industries would be an advantage but not essential for the role. 10+ years of B2B sales experience in the optical connectivity, networking or semiconductor industry, with a proven track record of selling transceivers or optical components. Deep understanding of fiber optic networks, transceiver form factors, and industry standards (MSA). Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical value to both C-Level commercial and engineering audiences and demonstrable track record in sales performance in B2B solution selling within the optical connectivity and networking industries, knowledge of a variety of sales fundamentals including funnel management, account planning, proposition development, negotiation and solution selling.   Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively and collaboratively with cross functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Product Development and Supply Chain.
