Regional Sales Manager - Idira


Company: Palo Alto Networks (Idira) Position: Senior Enterprise Account Executive Employment Type: Remote (Hybrid)

Role Overview

As a Senior Enterprise Account Executive at Idira (now part of Palo Alto Networks), you will act as a trusted business adviser to enterprise clients. Your role will focus on driving revenue growth, deepening existing customer relationships, and executing consultative sales cycles that deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll leverage AI-powered sales tools, cross-functional partnerships, and a strategic approach to lead and exceeding cybersecurity workloads across complex enterprise accounts.

Core Focus Areas:

  • Driving new business while expanding and renewing key enterprise accounts.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver CyberArk’s identity security solutions as aligned business outcomes.
  • Mentorship and team leadership—partnering with Sales Specialists, dealing teams, and spanning partners to accelerate expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of Full Sales Cycle & Forecasting

  • Lead end-to-end sales processes, from prospecting and qualification through to closing, ensuring seamless alignment between customer business needs and CyberArk’s value.

  • Accountable for quota attainment, delivering with rigor and precision.

  • Due diligence mastery:

    • Apply standard sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC) and tools (Salesforce, Clari, Gong, Demandbase, Notion) to track pipeline health and forecasting accuracy.
  • Negotiation, procurement, and closing: Drive decisive outcomes on multi-million-dollar deal landscapes.

Consultative Selling to Deliver Business Value

  • Weave cybersecurity innovation into real-world applications—prioritize customer success and solution leadership over traditional feature-level pitches.
  • Utilize Combined Insights Framework (BIT), Client Analysis Tools (CAT), and industry forecasts to uncover and resolve customer pain points proactively.

Building Executive Trust and Long-Term Account Growth

  • Develop executive relationships across multiple stakeholder levels:
    • CEO, CISO, security leads, IT procurement, technical teams.
  • Foster trust, visibility, and accountability within the account, positioning CyberArk for renewal, upsell, and land strategy.

Orchestrating the Broader Sales Team

  • Collaborate closely with Solution Sales Specialists to:
    • Co-sell CyberArk’s identity security stack across multiple use cases.
    • Leverage product specialists and AI-powered sales intelligence.
    • Execute tailored expansion plays based on collaborative, expert-driven insights.

Ecosystem Collaboration for Market Penetration

  • Partner with channel engagements (resellers, system integrators) and strategically embrace:
    • Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Palo Alto Networks ecosystem to accelerate execution, joint pipeline development, and account penetration.

Lead Territory Expansion & Sales Enablement

  • Develop comprehensive account strategies and target account expansion planning:
    • Identify white space opportunities for CyberArk solutions.
    • Track execution and comparative firmographic data.
    • Prioritize account relationships for growth accesses.
  • Strengthen executive awareness across CyberArk markets, showcasing strategic value.

AI and Sales Technology Adoption

  • Utilize AI-enabled tools such as Demandbase and Gong to:
    • Generate targeted customer insights across channels.
    • Optimize outreach via predictive engagement methodologies.
    • Increase sales efficiency through data-driven authentication.

Market Insight and Domain Knowledge

  • Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends (e.g., Zero Trust, PAM evolution, breaches publicity).
  • Monitor competitor landscape changes and customer challenges to refine positioning as a partner of choice.
  • Translate frameworks like ISACA's BCP and NIST guidelines into creative business outcomes.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

Sales and Commercial Experience

  • Proven track record of closing enterprise cybersecurity deployments, multi-million-dollar or larger. Evidence of new logos and aggressive renewal engagement growth.
  • Strong commercial appreciation of market differentiation and understanding of CyberArk’s identity-centric value vs. competitors.
  • Demonstrated quota ownership across complex pipeline stages.

Technical Domain & Solution Mastery

  • Deep familiarity with identity security, PAM (Privileged Access Management), and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Ability to align cybersecurity solutions with business use cases, translating technical risk into ROI metrics.
  • Relevant experience with SaaS or on-premise enterprise security sales.
