Regional Sales Manager – Infection Prevention & Surgical

Location: South of England (Home / Field Based)
Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Remote / Field Based
Travel: Up to 80% across the South of England
Vehicle: Company Car Provided

A global healthcare organisation is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing commercial team across the South of England within its Infection Prevention & Surgical Solutions division. This is a strategic leadership opportunity, responsible for managing a team of six Territory Business Managers across NHS and private healthcare accounts. The successful candidate will drive commercial performance through coaching, strategic account leadership and customer engagement, whilst working closely with senior commercial, clinical and NHS stakeholders to deliver sustainable business growth. You will play a key role in translating national strategy into regional execution, developing your team, strengthening customer partnerships and identifying new opportunities to improve patient outcomes across the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Territory Business Managers across the South of England.
  • Delivering regional sales growth, profitability and commercial objectives in line with annual business plans.
  • Driving strategic account planning and disciplined pipeline management across NHS and private healthcare customers.
  • Supporting team members through regular coaching, performance reviews and structured development plans.
  • Building strong relationships with senior NHS stakeholders, procurement teams, clinicians and healthcare decision-makers.
  • Working collaboratively with national leadership, NHS partnership teams and cross-functional departments to execute strategic growth initiatives.
  • Monitoring market trends, NHS changes and customer feedback to identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Ensuring consistent sales execution, forecasting accuracy and CRM discipline across the region.
  • Championing a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer engagement and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Proven experience leading and developing successful healthcare sales teams.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience within medical device, healthcare or related commercial sales.
  • Strong understanding of NHS procurement processes, stakeholder engagement and value-based selling.
  • Demonstrated success delivering sales growth through coaching and leadership.
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and complex commercial opportunities.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confident influencing both internal leadership teams and senior external customers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large geographical region.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Based within the South of England with a reasonable commute into the Greater London area.
