Summary of the Role's Main Purpose
Key Responsibilities
- Your primary focus is to drive new contract hire business, secure contract renewals from specific end users, and identify opportunities for supplementary contracts to increase PFUK’s share of wallet.
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new contract hire opportunities with prospective clients in the region.
- Build and maintain a regional pipeline of prospects through networking, referrals, industry events, and targeted outreach.
- Develop tailored proposals highlighting the benefits of PFUK’s temperature-controlled LCV and HGV solutions.
Strategic Account Management
- Own a portfolio of key accounts within your region, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and contract renewals.
- Identify opportunities for supplementary contracts (additional vehicles, services, or upgrades) to maximize PFUK’s share of wallet.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, providing expert advice on fleet solutions, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Sales and Revenue Growth
- Achieve regional sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, maintenance) to ensure seamless delivery of services and contractual obligations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with National Account Managers, operations, and marketing teams to support client delivery and promotional initiatives.
- Share market insights, best practices, and account strategies with peers across the business.

- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contract status, and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Provide regular performance updates, pipeline reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in contract hire, fleet management, or B2B sales.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and expand share of wallet within existing accounts.
- Highly organized, target-driven, and capable of working independently across a defined region.
Qualifications
- Experience in LCV and HGV contract hire, vehicle fleet management, or transport/logistics sector.
- Full UK driving license required.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing strategic client relationships.
