Regional Sales Manager - Joint Replacement - North East UK
At Stryker we are looking for a talented, highly motivated sales leader who will be responsible and accountable for driving the Joint Replacement business through the North East region in the UK. You will be part of a high calibre, achievement driven sales and service team, who share a strong belief in helping our customers to improve patient care and outcomes through the use of our technology, products and services. You will be responsible for the management of your sales area, the leadership of your employees as well as sales/turnover and cost so that optimized customer service and acquisition of new customers is guaranteed. You must have a proven track record of delivering exceptional results, both personally and through teams. You should have impeccable ethics and use integrity management to ensure the delivery of Stryker’s vision of being the most admired company. The Regional Sales Manager will report directly into the Business Unit Manager, Joint Replacement, North UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceed & deliver against the quarterly and yearly business budget whilst managing instrument utilisation, recurring revenue pipeline development alongside accurate forecasting vs. budget.
- Manage, lead, and motivate a high performing sales and service team, supporting and driving them strategically and tactically to accelerate business through the Joint Replacement portfolio.
- Ensure service levels are maintained at an exceptional standard throughout customer base.
- Coach and develop your team to achieve their potential.
- Mentor and develop the clinical, sales and marketing skills of new hires in the field. Support new starters with detailed information on procedural workflow, daily activity schedule and role responsibilities.
- Provide basic training on Mako platform during induction period of new Mako Product Specialists. This would include general instrumentation, implants and procedural consumables required for each Mako procedure.
- Register Mako Product Specialists on application training courses through Mako sales training team in UK and Amsterdam.
- Support the new Mako Product Specialists with internal launches and staff training at new Mako install sites.
- Co-ordinate scheduled case coverage across a defined geography and number of Mako Product Specialists. Collaborate with Mako Product Specialist team in Europe and USA to ensure case coverage.
- Work with senior hospital staff, customer marketing and key surgeons in the development and execution of a plan to effectively increase implant/procedural volume at customer sites.
- Support and collaborate with enabling function teams such as contracts & pricing, compliance, customer service and accounting, to ensure smooth order to cash process is maintained and our customers receive the highest levels of service.
- Build local clinical champions to support driving forward both current and future technology platforms across the entire portfolio.
- Understand / utilize market dynamics to support business acceleration.
- Take a creative approach to new business development for both current and future technologies and platforms.

Experience/Education
- Training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences/economics
- Verifiable successful sales and/or marketing experience
- Experience in team leadership
- Ideally product knowledge in Joint Replacement & Robotics segments
- Anatomical proficiency
- Economic knowledge
- Commercial skills in leading a profit centre
- Knowledge of a CRM system
- Knowledge of an ERP system
- Computer skills, MS Office
- Presentation skills with modern presentation media

Other Information
- The best location for the successful candidate to live would be central to the defined region.
- This role will require regional travel and to stay away from home overnight on a regular basis for customer visits.
- This person will be based from home however visits to the head office in Newbury will be expected.
United Kingdom Pay Ranges:
United Kingdom: £57,000 - £95,100 GBP Annual
