Exciting Opportunity: Area Sales Manager – Midlands
Are you a driven and dynamic sales professional passionate about the building materials or construction industry? General All-Purpose Plastics Ltd is expanding and with new depots opening we are looking for an Area Sales Manager for the Midlands area to become a key player in our mission to elevate sales and expand our market footprint!
This is not just any sales job; it’s an opportunity to lead our sales initiatives in a thriving region! You will be the ambassador of our brand, forging strategic partnerships with key clients and delivering tailored solutions that set us apart. Working closely with branch managers and our dedicated production and logistics teams, your contributions will ensure we provide unmatched service and achieve remarkable results.
Responsibilities
- Craft and execute impactful sales strategies for the Midlands.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with prospects and existing clients.
- Stay ahead of the curve by conducting market research on industry trends and customer preferences.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators set by management.
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that resonate with potential clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to optimise our offerings.
- Provide informed sales forecasts and reports to leadership.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a sales manager or in a comparable sales role, in the building materials or construction sector.
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- A knack for building and maintaining solid client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A willingness to travel frequently within the Midlands area.
What we offer
- Competitive salary with an uncapped commission structure, offering an OTE of up to £70,000 per year.
- A Monday to Friday work schedule.
- A company car or a £6k car allowance, along with a fuel card.
