Ready to lead the expansion of innovative medical therapies across Northern England and transform patient access within the NHS?

R&D Partners is seeking a proactive and strategic Regional Sales Manager to drive market development across Northern England within the medical technology and devices sector. This role is pivotal in introducing innovative therapies into NHS environments, building clinical relationships, and establishing sustainable funding pathways. The position offers significant career growth opportunities as the organization scales internationally.

This is a remote role based in the North of UK.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a market development strategy across Northern England, including Sheffield and territories further north.
  • Identify, engage, and influence Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within target NHS centers.
  • Drive clinical adoption of innovative therapies through education, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Create and support funding pathways to accelerate therapy uptake.
  • Build new opportunities from the ground up, generating pipeline activity in underdeveloped regions.
  • Engage regularly with clinicians, service leads, procurement teams, and commissioning stakeholders.
  • Navigate complex NHS decision-making processes to reduce sales cycle timelines.
  • Leverage learnings from successful deployments in southern territories to enhance northern market penetration.
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to refine market access, adoption, and reimbursement strategies.
  • Maintain a strong field presence through consistent customer engagement and account management.
  • Provide commercial feedback and market intelligence to support broader business growth plans.

Key Skills and Requirements:

NHS Market Development Experience:

  • Proven success launching or commercializing new therapies, technologies, or treatment pathways within NHS settings.
  • Deonstrable ability to create demand in markets with limited existing infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of NHS structures, funding mechanisms, and stakeholder mapping.
  • History of building business opportunities through strategic relationship development.

Market Access & Funding Expertise:

  • Experience establishing funding pathways within NHS organizations.
  • Ability to influence adoption of innovative therapies through clinical evidence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with engaging commissioners, service managers, and senior clinical stakeholders.

Commercial Leadership Capability:

  • Strong business development credentials with a track record of exceeding commercial objectives.
  • Experience opening new territories or underdeveloped regions.
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills.

Industry Background:

  • Relevant experience in Medical Devices, MedTech, Obesity Management, Bariatrics, Gastroenterology, Surgical Technologies, Diagnostics, or Digital Health.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Exceptional resilience, persistence, and accountability.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort operating within a growing and evolving organization.
