The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to lead business growth initiatives across the EMEA region.
This strategic role is responsible for delivering profitable revenue growth through the development of long-term customer partnerships, expansion of existing accounts, and acquisition of new business opportunities. Acting as a key ambassador for AEM and the wider MRO Europe portfolio, you will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to identify market opportunities, influence business strategy, and position AEM as the trusted partner of choice within the aerospace aftermarket.
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded sales professional who combines strong relationship-building skills with a deep understanding of the aerospace MRO sector.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Growth & Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with company growth objectives and commercial strategy.
- Deliver sustainable revenue growth while achieving or exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification through to contract negotiation, award, and account growth.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities to support both short and long-term objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling commercial proposals, quotations, and RFQ responses that maximise competitiveness and profitability.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity tracking, and pipeline reporting through Salesforce CRM.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across commercial airlines, business aviation, helicopters, defence, and adjacent aerospace sectors.
- Analyse customer operations, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop strategic account plans that increase customer engagement, spend, and service adoption.
- Promote cross-selling opportunities across AEM and the wider MRO Europe portfolio.
- Support the evaluation and development of new repair capabilities based on customer demand and market intelligence.
- Drive strategic initiatives that increase market share and strengthen competitive positioning.

Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, technical stakeholders, and senior customer leaders.
- Act as the principal commercial point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and strategic account meetings.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication and effective issue resolution.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships that support long-term customer retention and partnership growth.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight
- Gather and communicate market intelligence to support business planning and investment decisions.
- Monitor competitor activity, customer requirements, industry developments, and market trends.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancements, new repair capabilities, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide customer feedback and market insight to support future business development initiatives and capability expansion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Customer Support, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
- Champion customer requirements internally while balancing commercial objectives and operational capabilities.
- Support marketing campaigns, industry exhibitions, conferences, and trade events.
- Contribute to management reporting, sales reviews, and strategic planning discussions.
Commercial Governance & Compliance
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, and opportunity data within Salesforce CRM.
- Work with Finance to support effective credit control and resolve customer payment-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual commitments, and regulatory requirements.
- Operate within approved financial authority levels and delegated responsibilities.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and commercial governance.
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in aerospace sales, business development, account management, or commercial leadership.
- Demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth and achieving sales targets within a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of the aerospace MRO sector and aftermarket services.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities.
- Experience managing complex sales opportunities and commercial negotiations.
- Exceptional presentation, influencing, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM or equivalent customer relationship management systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to operate effectively within an international, cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the EMEA region.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Aerospace, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional sales, commercial, or business development qualifications.
- Experience working within aircraft component MRO, aerospace services, or aviation support organisations.
- Knowledge of airline, defence, helicopter, or business aviation markets.
