About the role

We're looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead the sales team within the West Midlands and the North of the UK. The role will be responsible for developing, activating and monitoring the sales plans for that geography, working in partnership with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the geographical sales plan, creating clear plans for the delivery of targets and leading the sales managers.
  • Ensure that compliance targets for the CRM are achieved and that data is maintained to the right standard.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer experience.
  • In partnership with the marketing team, develop regional marketing plans that support the achievement of sales targets.
  • Develop customer relationships, ensuring that relationship plans are in place for the top 10 customers in the region.
  • Identify opportunities to extend relationships with the customer and work across the Foodservice leadership team to action this.
  • Review operational performance within the geographic region and ensure that plans are in place to address service failures or opportunities to improve the service to the customer.
  • Deliver actionable insights on sales performance, profitability, customer trends, and product mix.
  • Take an active role in supporting the Head of Sales Operations in developing sales tools, reporting frameworks, and operational processes that improve sales execution.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of sales teams.

  • Experience in field sales and managing a geographically spread team.
