Regional Sales Manager – UK & Ireland

As a direct report to the Aftermarket Sales Manager, you will guide the sales strategy in UK & Ireland and work to expand revenue, profitability, market share, and customer engagement across regional accounts, distribution partners, and end users. You work closely with Customer Solutions, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and Service teams to deliver positive customer experience and align with SKF’s growth objectives.

You recognize market opportunities, deliver business initiatives, and act as SKF’s representative in the industrial marketplace, bringing together forward-looking planning and direct sales execution to build customer loyalty and durable growth.

Your main responsibilities

  • Guide consistent year-over-year sales growth, profitability, and market share expansion across the UK region through strategic sales planning and market opportunity development.
  • Manage strategic sales projects and major customer opportunities; maintain an accurate and robust sales pipeline through effective use of CRM tools.
  • Develop account growth strategies that increase customer value and expand SKF’s market presence; coordinate business development initiatives targeting new customers, industries, and market segments.
  • Build and maintain valuable and impactful relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners; act as the voice of the customer within SKF to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and support distributor and channel partner performance across the UK, by identifying opportunities to strengthen market coverage and improve partner effectiveness.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market developments, pricing trends, and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Operations, Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support customer requirements and ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Expand SKF’s presence within strategic sectors and priority accounts.
  • Manage customer acquisition activities and convert prospects into long-term business relationships.

Main requirements

  • Demonstrate solid industrial sales experience, preferably within bearing, reliability, maintenance, rotating equipment, or related industrial markets within regional or national markets.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in managing key accounts, distributors, and strategic customer relationships.
  • Solid commercial acumen and understanding of value-based selling principles.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, other languages will be considered as a plus.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM and sales performance management tools.
  • Highly developed forecasting and evaluation skills, plus effective negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized. Problem-solving and decision-making capability.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and occasionally internationally is required, full UK driving licence is expected.

Some additional information

  • This position is predominantly based remotely, in UK, on a local permanent contract. Frequent travelling to SKF Industrial sites (Luton, Aberdeen) as well as throughout UK, are expected.
