Regional Service Lead (SEND)
Location: Based from our Head Office in Chichester or within region
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus excellent benefits package
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for an experienced Regional Service Lead to oversee the operational performance, development and growth of our SEND therapeutic services across a defined region.
The Role
This is a leadership role combining operational management, clinical team leadership, stakeholder engagement and service development.
You will work closely with clinical, operational, quality, finance and commercial teams to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the operational and commercial performance of SEND therapeutic services across the region.
- Oversee referrals, capacity, workforce and service utilisation.
- Provide leadership and support to multidisciplinary clinical and operational teams.
- Monitor KPIs and use data to drive service improvement.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, SEND teams, NHS/ICB partners, schools, commissioners and referrers.
- Develop an understanding of regional SEND commissioning priorities and identify opportunities for service development.
- Support tenders, frameworks, contracts and the mobilisation of new services.
- Identify and manage operational risks and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure services meet relevant quality, regulatory and contractual requirements.

About You
You will be an experienced healthcare, SEND or service operations leader with:
- Significant experience in a senior operational, service management, commissioning or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND landscape, including local authority commissioning.
- Experience within SEND, neurodevelopment, healthcare, social care, specialist education or a related environment.
- Experience managing services, teams or operational performance.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using KPIs and data to drive performance and improvement.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Highly desirable:
- Experience managing or leading clinical or multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with local authority commissioners.
- Experience with tenders, frameworks, contracts or service mobilisation.
- Experience of referrals, capacity management or service development.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and quality frameworks.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline such as healthcare, social care, SEND, education, psychology, business or management, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant management/leadership qualifications and professional registration are desirable.
