About Us
Lock Stock Self Storage is the largest container storage company in the UK. We are a modern, dynamic, and growing company providing storage solutions across an expanding network of sites. Our team takes great pride in the high standard of service we provide to our customers, from the customer’s first impression through to the day they leave us.
About the Role
We are looking for a practical, organised, and proactive Regional Site Support Manager to support the day-to-day operation and standards of our storage sites across the South region.
The role will be based from an office at our Telford site, but this is not a desk-based position. You will spend a significant amount of your working week travelling between sites across the South region, with occasional meetings and visits to our Denbigh Head Office.
This is a varied and genuinely hands-on operational role, involving monitoring site standards and performance, dealing with customer and operational issues, coordinating maintenance and contractors, preparing units, and helping ensure sites operate efficiently and are presented to a consistently high standard.
The practical side of the role is an important part of the position. You will be expected to get involved in the day-to-day running of sites, including preparing storage units for customers, carrying out inspections, undertaking minor repairs and maintenance, painting and general site-improvement works, and helping organise equipment and stock where required.
You will be expected to take ownership of issues, identify what needs attention, and either resolve matters directly or coordinate the appropriate support to ensure actions are followed through to completion.
The role would suit someone practical, self-motivated, and organised who enjoys working independently, travelling between locations, problem-solving, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of multiple operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of storage sites across the South region
- Work from the Telford site as the regional base while travelling regularly between sites
- Attend occasional meetings and operational requirements at Denbigh Head Office
- Maintain a visible presence across the region
- Carry out regular site inspections and ensure sites are maintained to a high operational and visual standard
- Monitor site performance and relevant KPIs and take appropriate action where improvements are required
- Identify operational issues and ensure actions are logged, prioritised, and followed through to completion
- Inspect storage units before and after rental and prepare units for customers where required
- Carry out painting, minor repairs, maintenance, and general site-improvement works where appropriate
- Use hand and power tools safely and competently as part of practical site duties
- Identify and report larger maintenance requirements and coordinate these with the Maintenance team
- Coordinate contractors attending sites and ensure works are completed to the required standard
- Support the setup, development, and improvement of new and existing sites
- Assist with general site works, equipment movement, and improvement projects where required
- Provide professional and friendly customer service and help resolve customer queries or issues
- Support unit sales and maximise occupancy and customer opportunities across the region
- Monitor stock, supplies, and operational resources across sites
- Coordinate equipment and resources between locations where required
- Use company systems to record site inspections, maintenance requirements, actions, and operational information
- Manage and prioritise a varied workload across multiple sites
- Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on site performance, issues, and outstanding actions
- Identify local business-development, signage, advertising, sponsorship, and promotional opportunities
- Maintain awareness of competitors and local market activity
- Ensure company procedures and operational standards are applied consistently across the region
- Attend operational and Site Manager meetings where required
- Support the wider Operations team with additional requirements and projects when needed

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
