Description
Dains IT team is a dynamic and collaborative group that serves as the backbone of the company’s technology infrastructure and innovation. Comprising skilled professionals across various domains, including systems administration, application development, cybersecurity, and data management, the team is dedicated to delivering seamless IT solutions that empower business operations.
As our Regional Support Engineer, you'll be the primary IT support for our Midlands based operations. You'll have the exciting challenge of managing and optimising the IT function across our offices, ensuring seamless connectivity and tech support for our teams.
As Regional Support Engineer you will report into the Helpdesk Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact for any IT related queries in any of our Midlands offices
- Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and storage solutions
- Ensure the availability and reliability of IT services, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-based systems
- Provide technical support to employees within the region, both onsite and remotely
- Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
- Implement and support IT projects, such as system rollouts, upgrades, and migrations
- Collaborate with national IT team to deploy new technologies and standards
- Ensure regional compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and security protocols
- Track and manage IT assets, ensuring optimal utilization and lifecycle management
- Provide regular reports on regional IT performance, incidents, and projects to senior management
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement, maintenance, and upgrades

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Support, infrastructure management, or a similar role
- Proven experience managing regional or multi-site IT operations
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of Office 365 and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki and networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Communication Skills
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills enabling you to convey complex information clearly and engagingly across all levels of the organisation
Adaptability and Innovative Thinking
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and think creatively to solve challenges
