About Our Client

Our client is an international Company with operations in East & West Africa.

Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate direct and indirect tax compliance across Ghana and assigned West African entities, including tax calculations, returns, payments and statutory filings
  • Maintain the regional tax calendar and ensure accurate, timely and auditable compliance documentation in line with Group standards
  • Support the internalisation of recurring tax compliance activities, reducing reliance on external advisers
  • Provide practical tax advice to finance and business teams on contracts, transactions, operations, imports, services and commercial initiatives
  • Monitor local tax developments, identifying their potential impact on the business and escalating significant issues or opportunities to Group Tax
  • Act as the key local contact with tax authorities and external advisers, coordinating tax audits, assessments, information requests and, where required, disputes or appeals
  • Identify and report tax risks, compliance gaps and audit exposures, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up
  • Provide regular reporting to Group Tax on compliance status, audits, risks and material local developments

The Successful Applicant

  • With a bachelor in Tax, Accounting or Finance, the successful candidate will have a strong tax background with hands-on experience in Ghanaian taxation, ideally complemented by exposure to other West African jurisdictions
  • You combine solid knowledge of corporate and indirect taxes, tax compliance and tax audits with the ability to translate technical tax matters into practical advice for the business
  • You are proactive, rigorous and commercially minded, with strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to interact effectively with finance teams, tax authorities and external advisers in an international environment
