Regional Technical Sales Representative - Lifting & Safety

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Regional Technical Sales Representative - Lifting & Safety to join the team covering the Yorkshire region and surrounding areas, this position will also support strategic customer and project opportunities across the UK, including occasional visits to Scotland.

With a strong technical understanding of lifting equipment, lifting solutions, and safety products, you will work closely with Regional Sales Teams, Key Account Managers, Operations, Engineering and Marketing to actively promote MGF's Lifting & Safety products and services. You will manage existing business, identify new opportunities, and develop relationships across both construction and non-traditional sectors to achieve sustainable growth and increase market share.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales of lifting equipment, spreader beams, lifting accessories, fall protection systems, and MGF's specialist Lifting by Design service, whilst supporting the wider sales teams in maximising opportunities across their customer base.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver profitable growth through the development of both new and existing customer accounts within your region
  • Promote MGF's full range of Lifting & Safety products and services, including the Lifting by Design offering
  • Work collaboratively with Area Sales Managers, Account Managers and Key Account Managers to identify and convert opportunities
  • Develop strategic relationships with customers across construction, demolition, crane hire, mechanical and electrical, heavy engineering, utilities, petrochemical and industrial sectors
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell products and services across the wider MGF portfolio
  • Monitor sales performance and market trends, providing recommendations to support future growth
  • Represent MGF at industry events, exhibitions, networking opportunities and technical forums

The Core Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting accessories and safety products
  • Experience working within construction, industrial, engineering, crane hire or related sectors
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions
