Regional Trainer

Location: Flexible
Salary: £35,000 per annum

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Training & Compliance, the Regional Trainer is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of operational, mandatory and compliance training programmes across Unifi Aviation's UK & Ireland network. The role plays a critical part in ensuring employees have the knowledge, skills and competence required to perform safely, securely and effectively in their roles whilst meeting airline, airport, customer and regulatory requirements.

This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel across the UK and Ireland, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver inductions, initial training, recurrent training and refresher programmes across multiple airport locations.
  • Facilitate mandatory training in accordance with company, customer and regulatory requirements, including areas such as Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Aviation Security and operational procedures.
  • Deliver training to operational teams including Cabin Cleaning, Secure Aircraft Cleaning/Search, Ramp Services, Ground Support and other airport operational functions.
  • Ensure all training is delivered consistently, professionally and in line with approved training materials and company standards.
  • Adapt training methods to suit different audiences and learning styles.

Competency & Operational Assessment

  • Conduct practical assessments and On-the-Job Training (OJT) competency evaluations.
  • Verify employees can safely and effectively perform their operational duties before sign-off.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate coaching, retraining or development plans.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees and operational leaders to support continuous improvement.

Compliance & Training Governance

  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure all training activity is recorded within the Learning Management System (LMS) and training matrix.
  • Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements across all UK & Ireland locations.
  • Support training-related audits and provide evidence of compliance when required.
  • Ensure all training programmes remain aligned with customer requirements, operational procedures and regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Station Managers, Operational Leaders, Regional Management and the Training & Compliance team.
  • Support operational mobilisations, new contract start-ups and implementation of new procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships across the UK & Ireland network to promote a positive learning culture.
  • Provide advice and guidance on training, competency and development matters.

Person Specification

  • Experience delivering training within an aviation, airport, operational or regulated environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage both individuals and groups.
  • Experience conducting practical competency assessments and coaching colleagues.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple training priorities across different locations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends where required.
  • Experience within aviation ground handling, aircraft presentation/cabin cleaning, ramp operations or aviation security.
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory and compliance requirements.
