Job Description

Job Title: Regional Trainer

Contract Type: Fixed term for up to 12 months

Salary: £38374.23 (£42354.97 is achieved after 12 successful performance in the role)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, full time

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Speke, Liverpool

The difference you will make as a Regional Trainer

As a key member of the Organisation Development Team, you will report to the Learning and Development Manager and will be responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of a range of training initiatives and learning and development programmes that will enhance the knowledge and skills and behaviours of all our colleagues across the Group.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven extensive experience as a Trainer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of training principles, adult learning theory, and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.

Role Profile

  • Develop and implement training programs and initiatives to address the learning and development needs of colleagues across the Group.
  • Work with Learning Partners, Learning Advisor, other Regional Trainers to conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across different departments.
  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and presentations using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Create and update training materials, including training manuals, presentations, handouts, and multimedia visual aids.
  • Collaborate with Learning Partners, Learning Advisor, Regional Trainers, subject matter experts (SME) and department managers to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide individual coaching and support to colleagues to reinforce learning and development objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new training methods to continuously improve the training programs.
  • Be aware of any regulatory changes within the housing sector to ensure these are properly reflected in all training content
  • Collaborate with Learning and People Partners to ensure that training initiatives are aligned with respective department people plans and strategies
  • Assist in the onboarding process by delivering the corporate induction to all new colleagues
  • Work with Learning & Development Administrator to maintain training records, documentation, and reports to track colleague progress and compliance.
  • Ensure all training designs and deliveries incorporate TRG Values and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
  • Ensure that all data is compliant with legislation and policies relating to data quality.
  • Ensure that health & safety requirements are met in accordance with Riverside’s policy and procedures and statutory requirements.

Essential

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven extensive experience as a Trainer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of training principles, adult learning theory, and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Experience in developing and delivering both classroom based and virtual training programs.
  • Proficiency in using training software, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia tools for creating and delivering training content.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple training projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing training needs and priorities.
  • Passion for learning and professional development.

Desirable

  • CIPD qualified or Training certificate
  • Experience of working with a Learning Management System
  • Experience in Housing Sector
