Speedy Powered Access is part of Speedy Hire, one of the UK’s leading providers of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services.
Our Powered Access division supports customers across the UK with a wide range of access equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts and other specialist powered access machines.
Our Drivers play a vital role in delivering and collecting equipment safely, efficiently and professionally, while providing a first-class service to our customers.
As our Powered Access business continues to grow, we are always interested in hearing from experienced Drivers who would like to build their career with Speedy.
What will you be doing?
By joining our Powered Access Driver Talent Pool, you can register your interest in future driving opportunities across the UK.
We'll keep your details on file and may contact you when a suitable vacancy becomes available that matches your licence category, experience and location.
Depending On The Role, You May Be Responsible For
- Delivering and collecting powered access equipment to and from customer sites
- Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are roadworthy
- Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely
- Completing delivery and collection paperwork accurately
- Providing excellent customer service when attending customer sites
- Liaising with depot teams to ensure deliveries and collections are completed efficiently
- Carrying out basic equipment checks where required
- Following company procedures and all relevant transport legislation
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance at all times

- Powered access equipment
- Plant and construction equipment
- HIAB or lorry-mounted crane operations
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving
- Multi-drop deliveries
- Machinery or equipment transport
- Construction, plant hire or equipment hire environments
- Loading and securing heavy or specialist equipment
- Customer-facing driving roles
Previous powered access experience is advantageous, but relevant driving and equipment-handling experience from similar industries may also be suitable.

To join our Powered Access Driver Talent Pool, you'll ideally have:
- A full UK driving licence
- The appropriate licence category for the role
- Previous professional driving experience
- Good knowledge of road safety and transport compliance
- Experience of loading, unloading and securing equipment
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A professional and reliable approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The right to work in the UK

For some roles, additional qualifications such as HIAB, CPC, Tachograph Card or plant/equipment experience may be required.
Requirements will vary depending on the individual vacancy.
