About the Company

Wakefield Council is looking to recruit talented individuals to join our highly respected Building Control team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects while developing your professional expertise within a supportive, forward-thinking local authority.

About the Role

You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality Building Control service, undertaking:

Responsibilities

  • Plan assessments and technical reviews
  • Site inspections across a range of developments
  • Advice and guidance to customers and stakeholders
  • Enforcement and compliance activities
  • Dangerous structures and demolition work
  • Maintaining high professional standards and accurate records

Qualifications

You will have Building Control experience, strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Pay range and compensation package

Grade 10 salary range: £42,839 - £46,142
£6,000 Market Rate Supplement available for inspectors registered above Class 2A
Maximum package of up to £52,142 per annum
Ongoing support to progress through higher Building Safety Regulator registration classes
