Role Description
The Registered Care Manager will oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality care services, ensuring that care plans are person-centered, compliant with regulatory standards, and responsive to changing client needs. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bury St Edmunds, responsible for leading and supporting Care Professionals, managing rotas, and coordinating care visits. The role involves conducting care assessments and reviews, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong relationships with clients, their families, and external health and social care partners. The Registered Care Manager will monitor service performance, address any concerns promptly, and drive continuous improvement in care quality and operational efficiency.

- Demonstrated experience in care management or a similar leadership role within health or social care.
- Strong knowledge of care regulations, safeguarding practices, and quality standards relevant to in-home care.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills with clients, families, and staff.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop care teams, including performance management and staff supervision.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple care cases, schedules, and priorities.
- Competence in using digital systems and care management software to maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent, or working toward it).
- Commitment to person-centered care, respect, and dignity for older adults, with a focus on safety and independence.
- Ability to work on-site in Bury St Edmunds, including occasional out-of-hours support as service needs require.
