Registered Children’s Home Manager
Shropshire | Full-Time | Permanent | Up to £56,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and inspirational Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead one of our homes in Shropshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident childcare leader who is passionate about creating safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments where children and young people can thrive.
About the Role
As Registered Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and development of the home, creating a positive, child-centred culture and ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance.
You will lead and develop a dedicated residential team, working closely with education, clinical and external professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing residential team.
- Creating a warm, stable and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Overseeing care planning, safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
- Managing recruitment, supervision, training and performance.
- Working collaboratively with education, clinical and external professionals.
- Driving continuous improvement and preparing for Ofsted inspections.
- Supporting children and young people with complex needs, trauma and emotional distress.

About You
We are looking for a resilient, organised and child-focused leader who can inspire a team while remaining calm, compassionate and professional in challenging situations.
You will have:
- Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children's residential care.
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Experience leading and developing residential childcare teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
Experience of therapeutic or trauma-informed care and Ofsted inspections would be desirable.
