Salary: £55,162 - £58,523 per annum (£26.52 - £28.14 per hour)

Bonus Opportunities: £5,000 Welcome Bonus* + Ofsted Bonus Scheme for Good and Outstanding inspection outcomes

Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Homes2Inspire is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our three-bedded children's residential home in Burton-on-Trent.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring children and young people receive exceptional care in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced residential childcare leader who is committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people while supporting and developing a dedicated team.

Edgecote House supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing the stability, warmth, and consistency they need to thrive.

As Registered Manager, you will lead with empathy, professionalism, and ambition, ensuring every child feels valued, listened to, and supported to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the home in line with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations.
  • Ensure children and young people receive high-quality, trauma-informed care.
  • Create a stable, nurturing environment where children feel safe, respected, and supported.
  • Lead, motivate, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team.
  • Drive positive outcomes across education, health, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain full regulatory compliance and prepare the home for inspections.
  • Build strong relationships with families, local authorities, schools, and partner agencies.
  • Monitor and improve service quality through effective leadership and performance management.
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, staffing, and resources effectively.
  • Promote a strong safeguarding culture throughout the home.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of services across the region.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an inspirational leader with a proven track record in children's residential care.

You'll Need

  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards completion).
  • At least two years' recent experience in a supervisory or management role within a Registered Children's Home.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • A child-centred approach and genuine passion for improving young people's lives.
  • Excellent knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements.
  • A positive track record with Ofsted inspections.
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, commissioners, and partner agencies.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
