Delphi Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established children's residential care provider for a Registered Children's Home Manager based in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

The provider is committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care and creating safe, nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring children receive exceptional care in a safe and stable environment.

You will lead and develop your team, maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards, and drive positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing the daily operation of the home
  • Leading, mentoring and developing staff
  • Ensuring safeguarding remains at the centre of practice
  • Maintaining compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and SCCIF requirements
  • Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively
  • Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and placement planning
  • Building strong relationships with local authorities, professionals and families
  • Driving continuous improvement and quality assurance
  • Participating in the management on-call rota

About You

Essential

  • Minimum two years' experience within children's residential care
  • Experience managing or supervising staff
  • Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and SCCIF
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to achieve
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Previous Registered Manager experience
  • Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection history
  • Experience supporting children who have experienced trauma
  • Knowledge of therapeutic care models, DDP and PACE
  • Experience managing safeguarding investigations
  • Multi-agency working experience
