Position Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will oversee nutritional care services, conduct resident assessments, collaborate with the dietary department, and help ensure residents receive the nutrition support needed to achieve their highest level of health and well-being.

Your Day-to-Day
- Complete nutritional assessments for new admissions in accordance with federal and state guidelines
- Perform quarterly, annual, and significant change nutritional reviews
- Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and develop appropriate care plans
- Conduct monthly reviews for high-risk residents, including those with:
- Significant weight loss or gain
- Pressure injuries
- Hemodialysis needs
- Tube feeding requirements
- Collaborate with the Dietary Supervisor to coordinate nutrition care services
- Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
- Provide recommendations regarding therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutrition interventions
- Assist with the dietary portion of MDS assessments
- Monitor resident outcomes and adjust care plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility nutritional care standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
- Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical care setting
- Experience completing the dietary portion of MDS assessments
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
- South Carolina licensure as required
- Must maintain all required continuing education requirements and professional credentials
