Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. We're looking for a Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join our central Quality Team, providing specialist clinical leadership across our education and residential care services, including three Bright Futures schools in the North West.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll combine hands-on clinical expertise, health leadership and staff development to ensure children and adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs receive the right support to be healthy, safe and able to thrive.

You'll assess and review individual health needs, develop and oversee healthcare plans, provide specialist nursing advice and work closely with families, schools, residential teams and external healthcare professionals. You'll also play a key role in building the confidence and competence of our teams, supporting staff to safely meet a wide range of complex health needs.
What you'll be doing
- Assessing and reviewing individual healthcare needs and developing person-centred healthcare plans.
- Providing clinical advice and support around complex health needs, including epilepsy, dysphagia, diabetes, allergies, continence and medicines management.
- Supporting schools and residential services to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare.
- Assessing and reviewing staff competencies for delegated healthcare activities.
- Providing training, coaching and clinical guidance to staff teams.
- Working closely with GPs, CAMHS, Community Learning Disability Teams and other healthcare professionals.
- Supporting safeguarding, clinical governance, audits, inspections and quality improvement.
- Promoting health, wellbeing and reducing health inequalities for people with learning disabilities.
- Advocating for the health needs of the people we support and ensuring reasonable adjustments are made.
