Birmingham Children’s Trust are expanding the internal Children’s Homes portfolio. We recognise the importance of providing good quality placements to our children and young people and want to provide homes that keep children and young people close to family, peers and education.
We are excited to be recruiting for a new Registered Manager
This role is to manage a long term home for children with disabilities. The home is currently rated as GOOD and we are looking for an aspirational manager to lead the home to achieving outstanding.
As our new Registered Manager, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential home.
- Champion the best interests of young people, lead child-centred practice, and ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Require strong resource management and effective leadership.
- Actively contribute to the wider Children’s Residential Services management team.
You will be supported by two Deputy Managers and three Assistant Managers.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a children’s residential setting at a senior level.
- Ability to manage staff capability successfully.
- Proven experience managing a children’s home.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an “on-call” rota.

Location:
This role is based in Aston, Birmingham so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship. Please do not apply if you do not have the right to work.
