Care Support Empower is a community-based care provider offering outreach services that help people access local activities with dedicated staff support. Care Support Empower provides 24-hour support within supported living accommodation, ensuring consistent and person-centered care. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for personal care, demonstrating a commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.
Role Description
The Registered Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and delivery of high-quality care within supported living services. This full-time, on-site role in Luton and Leighton Buzzard includes:
- Overseeing care plans
- Coordinating staff schedules
- Ensuring individuals receive person-centered support that promotes independence and community inclusion

- Supervising and developing the staff team
- Conducting regular supervision and performance reviews
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement
The Registered Manager will:
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards
- Manage audits and inspections
- Maintain accurate records
- Handle safeguarding, health and safety, and incident management
The position also includes:
- Liaising with families, local authorities, and other professionals
- Managing budgets and resources
- Contributing to service development and strategic planning
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing care or supported living services, with strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding practices, and best practice in person-centered care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with people supported, families, and external partners.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience in risk assessment, care planning, and quality assurance processes within a regulated care environment.
- Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an on-call rota, and to support 24-hour service requirements.
- Proficiency with basic IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and communication.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to empowering individuals to live as independently as possible.
- Previous experience working with adults in supported living or community-based services is highly desirable.
