Children’s Registered Manager
New 2-Bed Home
Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE)
Service Type: 2-Bed Children’s Home (EBD/SEMH)
Provider: Well-established, reputable organisation
Status: Home fully set up – registration pending
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Children’s Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed children’s residential home in Chatham. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established provider with strong values, excellent infrastructure, and a clear commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care.
The home is fully set up, furnished, staffed and ready to operate — we now need a confident Registered Manager to complete the SC2 application, lead the Ofsted registration process, and take the service through to opening.
Commissioners already have placements lined up, and there is significant external pressure to get the home registered. You will play a pivotal role in bringing the service to life and shaping a stable, nurturing environment from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
