Are you an experienced care leader who can combine strong operational management with a genuine commitment to outstanding, person-centred care?
We are recruiting on behalf of an established care provider seeking a confident and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of one of its care homes.
You will lead a dedicated team, maintain excellent care standards and ensure every resident is supported to live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be accountable to the Registered Provider for the home’s overall performance, operations and activities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading the day-to-day running of the home through effective teamwork and delegation
- Creating a positive culture that provides both support and appropriate challenge to the team
- Ensuring residents’ individual needs, preferences, backgrounds and differences remain at the heart of the service
- Maintaining full compliance with the home’s registration conditions, legal requirements and company policies
- Promoting excellent care standards and continually improving resident outcomes
- Acting as the home’s Infection Prevention and Control Lead
- Maintaining effective systems, processes and structures to support the safe and efficient running of the home
- Safeguarding residents and ensuring their care and health needs are appropriately assessed and met
- Leading, supervising, mentoring and developing staff to help them perform confidently and effectively
- Completing staff appraisals and supporting ongoing learning and professional development
- Reviewing practices within the home and implementing agreed improvements
- Analysing complex care situations and producing appropriate action plans and risk assessments
- Maintaining high standards across the home’s environment, documentation and service delivery
- Managing the home within agreed budgets, key performance indicators and occupancy targets
- Promoting the home’s services and building positive relationships with professionals and the wider community
- Providing clinical leadership and direct support when required
- Sharing and promoting best practice across the wider organisation

About You
Our client is looking for someone who is approachable, commercially aware and able to lead with both compassion and accountability.

You Will Need
- Previous management experience within a care environment
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- A sound understanding of care regulation, safeguarding, quality assurance and health and safety
- The ability to manage competing priorities and make confident, well-informed decisions
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- A professional, honest and respectful approach
The Following Would Be Desirable
- NMC registration
- A recognised care management qualification, such as ILM, RMA or an equivalent qualification
The successful candidate will also be expected to complete all required mandatory training, take responsibility for their continued professional development and comply with relevant legislation, regulations and organisational policies.
