Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

Location: Cinderford, Gloucestershire
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager, or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, to lead the launch of a brand-new solo children's home in Gloucestershire.

This is a rare chance to shape a new service from the very beginning. With the groundwork already in place, the successful candidate will complete the Ofsted registration process, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and create a positive, therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

The Role

Reporting to the Responsible Individual, the Registered Manager will:

  • Complete the Ofsted registration as the named Registered Manager.
  • Lead the opening and day-to-day management of a solo children's home supporting a young person with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop a dedicated staff team.
  • Embed trauma-informed, child-centred practice throughout the home.
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding legislation.
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities and external professionals.
  • Lead Ofsted inspections and drive continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
